Summer glau

Firefly was Whedon's next success and it's safe to say that she created a buzz. Her River Tam character was complex and Glau did a great job of handling it. Tam, as the character from the film was called, was subjected to tests by the government that were intended to create her into a perfect assassin. Tam's control over her emotions was weakened as a direct result. Glau showed off her fighting ability as well as her acting abilities on Firefly. Glau could utilize her athletic abilities since she was trained to be an assassin. Summer Glau has been a ballerina since she was a child. She has also studied Flamenco and Tango, however an injury to her foot caused her to stop dancing. Firefly lasted only one season but it gained a passionate following. Fans of Whedon's were so enthusiastic that Whedon returned to the show 2 years after. Summer Glau kept on getting an excellent job.
